She succeeded not only in allowing the “spirit” of this time to emerge in her pictures, but also in embodying it herself. Her life was as dazzling as the colors in her paintings. She was one of the most sought-after artists of this era, had a gifted gift for self-stylization and became the femme fatale of her time.
