“There are no miracles, there is only what you make.” Tamara de Lempicka
Tamara de Lempicka was the diva of Art Deco painting and an icon of the Roaring Twenties. She not only captured the “spirit” of this era in her paintings but also embodied it herself. Her life was as dazzling as the colors of her paintings. She was one of the most sought-after artists of her time, had a remarkable talent for self-stylization and became the femme fatale of her day.
Haus Hubertus still breathes the spirit of the Golden Twenties, when elegant beach villas in Boltenhagen invited guests to unwind in style. If you are looking for the perfect retreat, you will find it in this bright duplex suite on the 2nd floor. Rustic beams divide the spacious living area into cozy living, cooking and dining corners, and a narrow staircase leads up to the attic – a snug hideaway for children. Here you live at treetop height and can watch birds and squirrels eye to eye. The highlight of this suite, however, is the large window front with views in three directions, where sea, sun and clouds stage a new spectacle every day.
“Among a hundred paintings, you could recognize mine, my goal was: Do not copy. Create a new style, …colors light and bright, return to elegance in my models.” Tamara de Lempicka
